Dukes Baseball Run down, Spring Season 2022

WEST COVINA, CA – In the middle of the San Gabriel Valley sits a complex known as Maverick Field. Here is where Dukes Baseball calls home & where it has long been considered one of the “Hot Beds” of baseball. It’s a super exciting time where the Tuesday night Maverick Showcase League that started this past fall was amazing & is in the talks to have a summer version this year. The Dukes rosters are built with talented & high character players mainly from the San Gabriel Valley. 

Dukes Baseball has been described as a very exciting organization to watch play. They have an old school mentality of playing “hard & fast” along with a hustle on, hustle off the field at all times approach. The rosters feature committed and uncommitted players. Good luck to all of the Dukes players starting their perspective 2022 High School seasons.

2022 class still has a few uncommitted but very talented players, let’s begin with the notable Dukes committed players; CSUF commit 22’ RHP/INF Luke Mistone , CSUF commit 22’ RHP/OF Kyle Calzadiaz and CPP commit 22’ LHP Dylan Esquivel. The 2022 class of uncommitted players is highlighted by the following RHP Randy Limon very talented working with 86-88 FB, Curve & change. Catchers Mark Manual & Ian Wolski are interchangeable. They can really catch, throw & hit. You will have to see these 22’ play to see what fits. Notable players 3B Nicolas Sartor R/R, 3B/1B 6’4 Maximo Newhart R/R, Brendon Rodriquez speedy OF L/L & Jonathan Rodriguez C R/R to name a few.

 2023 class is led by LBSU commit 23’ Adrian Lopez MIF, Oklahoma commit Devin Munoz & CSUF commit Tyler Holley MIF. Alongside Adrian you will find more talent that is ready to commit beginning with RHP John Nolan who has been working at 87-88mph, RHP Gabriel Hernandez 86-87, slider & change up,  3B/OF Noah Alvarez L/R who can really hit to name a few of the uncommitted players in the 2023 class. 

2024 class has been a pretty special group led by UCLA commit 24’ MIF/OF Kasen Khansarinia, ASU commit 24’ 3B Landon White, LBSU commit 24’ MIF/OF Rocco Regan, UCSB commit 24’ MIF Ryan Castro & Tulane commit OF John Nauertz. The 2024 class is still loaded with talented uncommitted sophomores such as catcher Jude Favela R/R with a solid power bat , Troy Estrada R/R & Jared Brunk R/R MIF just to name a few. 

2025 class lead by ASU commit OF Vaughn Coleman along with a few players that have already drawn some attention while playing up over the fall catchers Isaiah Ibarra R/R and Elijah Bechtel R/R & MIF Matt McCliman.  These players named are only a few of the Dukes players committed to a hard work ethic & improving 1% every day.
